What Do I Need to Know Studying at a Distance?

Blackboard: an online system (link below) which enables you to access key documents and electronic resources for your programme of study on and off campus

User ID & Password: you will receive your login details for all College systems (including Blackboard) from a member of the LRC team via email once you have completed your enrolment

Your PC: ideally you will need a good internet connection and large monitor to enable you to view documents online

PDF Reader: Scanned papers and articles available via Blackboard are uploaded in PDF format. You will need to make sure that you have a PDF reader installed on your PC, Adobe for example, to enable you to view the content

**NEW** Password Reset Tool

We have been working with our colleagues in IT to come up with a password activation/reset tool which you can use off site 24/7. The link below provides access to this service, please note that you will be asked a couple of security questions to verify who you are.

Blackboard (Virtual Learning Environment)

Blackboard is an online system which you can use to access course materials and handouts. Each course has its own area on Blackboard and you can access the system by inputting the User ID (your DC number) and the password you created using the reset tool (link above).
