Harvard Referencing - Doncaster

Guide to the style of Harvard referencing required by Doncaster College.

Types of Electronic Sources

There are many types of electronic sources you may wish to use in your work.

There is no fixed standard to citing electronic resources, the key is consistency and providing enough information for the reader to find your source.

The following shows some of the more common electronic sources and how to reference them. If you are usure about how to cite an electronic resource not listed please ask a librarian and we will help you work it out.

Using quality electronic resources

Information available on the Internet can vary in quality.

Where possible it is often best to use the resources available on our E-library as a first point of call.

If you wish to use resources from other sources it is worth looking using the CRAAP test to help you find good quality sources that will enhance your work.
